The average American woman is definitely a little bit overweight. The BMI scale is wildly inaccurate to someone's actual health, though. A woman who looks a bit chubby is probably more healthy than a skinny, unathletic woman.
Neat. I didn't ask about what anyone would prefer to be, though. Whether you want to be chubby or not, a chubby person is perfectly healthy. An extremely obese person isn't healthy, but someone who has a little chub is.
How much does the average American woman weigh?

I'd much rather be skinny than chubby. I'm 131 I want to lose at least 5 lbs and go to 126lbs.
