I really don't care. I only feel bothered if I have plans with somebody and they flake without informing me, because they wasted my time.
Honestly, I am guilty of not responding at times. Usually it is because I was in the middle of something when they called or texted and I simply forget to respond later.
If the message lacks important contact I may forget. The point of texting is to answer at your own convience. I don't see how it's a big deal to anyone. People have accused me of being rude by not responding right away, but personally I think it's rude for someone to expect me to drop whatever I am doing to respond to them whenever. It is not my job to be on call to anybody's needs.
