How much does bulling affect you ?

Have you ever been bullied ? I have and believe me its not fun. There are many kinds most commonly cyber . Cyber bulling is when you bully someone online. You don't know how much it hurts your victim . I have been a target of bullies multipal times in my life . When you are being bullied you have to tell someone about if don't wait. You could get really hurt .A common question I get is : Is informing an adult the same as tattle talling ?The awensors is no it is not if you are being taken advantage of you have to think fast . If you are being bullied online remember when you receive a hurtfull comment don't respond . This is for a simple reason . If you were to respond you would be telling the bully they are in charge. This is a bad thing it must not happen. By doing this it tells the bully you can't handle it and then they won't stop. Also don't text or email when you are upset you are more likely to say something you will regret later.

Yes I have 30
No never 10
I don't really remember 3
Not reciently 10
Ya I guess 6
Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

No, it's when a bull comes up to you and starts picking on you.
      Mostly they insult the nostrils.

Bullying on the street is one thing, you can actually lose a tooth or two, but cyber bullying? Its basically a contest who can type and google clever remarks faster. Cyber bullies are basically internet trolls who are neither strong nor smart, they are a bunch of nobodies in real life, capable of nothing, yet behind the screen they suddenly feel like Rambo.

Whats even worse is that there are actually people who let those nobodies affect them.

I don't troll. You dont judge that by a comment of me saying it's mean to call anyone a nobody. Everyones somebody.

You didn't say that it's mean to call anyone a nobody, instead you called me a nobody, there is a difference. While I like your point of view on this matter, I have to disagree with you, mainly because our understanding of somebody differs from one another. Maybe I am a nobody too so far, its too early to judge, I can't say I achieved something big in life so far. But I definitely don't think that insulting someone, especially over the internet, using a nickname, and putting a smiley at the end of your insult makes you anybody more then you are. If those internet trolls go outside and say those things to someones face, they wont be able to put a smiley at the end of the sentence. A person who is a somebody, wouldn't be doing those kinds of things, because they got better things to do.

Yeah, I have been bullied. It wasn't fun but it happens. I eventually became one of those diplomatic folk that made friends with the top assholes and in return, the bottom assholes that did most of the "bullying" never bothered with me. It pays to make friends with the dominant types. Studies show that people who use violence as a means to solve their problems typically are not the most intelligent of the bunch (in short, have low IQs). I catered to that notion and got fantastic results. My being a cute little mousy nerd girl probably helped by leaps and bounds. I pity boys, because they don't get much of it when THEY are bullied.

Cyber bullying? Quit taking the internet so seriously. Block, report, or delete, or better yet, go to a different website. I don't want to knock the validity of cyber-bullying here but... On the internet, you can just click the X at the top right corner of your screen. Problem solved. In a place like school, you don't get the option to leave and not face consequences, on the street clicking X when a group of guys comes after you isn't an option either. 9 times out of 10 if you are being bullied on the internet, it is because you are allowing them to by not clicking that X. I don't even put it in the same league as actual bullying.

It's best to remember that people that try to cause pain to others generally have pain within themselves. Don't give others so much control over your emotions. Someone can say something offensive, but you have the choice as to whether or not you are to be offended. If you're going to live your life being injured by every little mean comment that comes your way, and you are planning on doing something that doesn't involve unplugging everything and locking yourself in your house for the rest of your days then by the time you are middle-aged you will be one emotionally disturbed person.

I was bullied every day at school for being gay. Because people don't understand what it's like being hated for who you are. It made me feel like it was my fault. Made me feel really depressed.

How does it affect me? It pisses me off.

I don't like it being done to me and I DO NOT like seeing it done to someone else.

I remember once, in high school, these 2 kids would basically harass me and talk shit. I try to let things go. It takes a lot to make me blow my fucking lid. One day the bigger one decided to throw a book at me, so I grabbed that book and smashed his fucking face in with it. I stood up and looked down at the other kid who instigated it and of course that little bitch didn't say anything.

    haha

I was bullied all the way thru 7th grade. Then one day I decided I had enough and I turned around swinging and punched the offender in the face. Nobody ever bullied me again. I was astounded at how easy it was. I should have done it years earlier. Bullies are usually pussies. They usually only pick on the people that they think won't fight back.

I was bullied severely in 4th, 5th and 6xt grade. I was also bullied through out high school, but by that time, I'd become more ammune and it wasn't as bad as the earlier years. I dunno. I think bullying effects everyone differently. For me, I'd say I've become a little bit tougher when people insult or ridule me, as not I have a skin for those things, and it also helped me to be myself and not care about the judgement of others. Now I am a free spirit and frankly don't care what other think of me, as I have learned that caring about what others think, reputation, spocial status, all that is what causes stress and worrying as oppose to not carring where I am capable of living a free life. I would say that in some aspects, the bullying has had a good and bad effect on me because although I feel free to be myself now, and I've grown a skin, I also find it very hard to trust others and it is also very difficult for me to make friends, but I guess there is a bad and a good to everything. And, like I said, bullying effects everyone differently, so I'm sure someone else has different story to the aftermath of being bullied.

Yes, behind my back too. I heard from a friend that people talk about me and others sometimes. I've also overheard it too. Not one of the kids who are doing it even know me well and none of them will say it to my face because no one wants to bully the 'cancer kid' with 'problems'.

Back in high school that shit fucked with me a lot. Living in a sort of narrowminded area and being a rather offbeat individual, I got endless shit all through school. Fucked with my confidence for a long time until I got out of this area more, traveled and realized that it wasn't me, I just scared the fuck out of them because I was so radically different from everyone else at school.

As for cyber bullying, aint no thing. Anonymity can make people into assholes, and I don't put too much stock into what one troll is going to say. If anyone disagrees with you (in reason of course), has a problem with you, is judging you or insulting you for the way that you are? Fuck them. They're not worth the time to be upset over.

I've been bullied in real life, but thankfully not online. I've been in situations with people that said negative things toward me, but I managed to put them back in their places. Some people aren't so lucky. Bullying is stupid and harmful to the point where people are committing suicide. How many more people must die before the governments start taking action? Some states have even tried to pass bills that go in the bully's favor by trying to give the right of "excuse". It's sickening.

Bullying has made me cynical, sadistic, and a jerk. I'm a nice guy if you get to know me, but I do put up an impregnable wall around me, which to others can appear as if I'm a jerk. However, I trust people too easily, which isn't a good thing generally.

Once when I was 14, for some random reason, one of my closest 'friends' starting sending me death threats via msn.
She said she would come to school on monday with a knife and slit my throat and wrists in front of the class.
I was like LOL bitch yeh right, I honestly didn't give a fuck. I egged her on, asking why she didn't come over to mine now and do it? She said it was cold and late and couldn't be bothered. haahaha she's effed in the head has manic depression or something
Didn't really bother me, I knew she wouldn't do it. I told a friend about it and she talked to her coz she was actually worried she would do it and apparently talked her out of it. pfft

Cyber bullying is stupid, all you have to do is click delete/block/report. In the real world, you have no help, no support, and everyone turns your back on you. If you think cyber bulling is bad, maybe you should stop being around those sort of websites.

I will also add this, the only way to stop bullying is to get police and courts involved. I was bullied all my young life, told family, told teacher, told principal, NOTHING. I even got suspended for standing up for myself, bully got nothing.

I cannot tell you how much I agree with you. No one really knows what it's like to be bullied until it's done to your face. You don't have to get online, but you have to go to school, and with that being said, there was no way of escaping it for me. When I was in school, the assistant principal never did anything,as he was under the inane belief that "kids will be kids". Man, that guy was a jack-ass >_>. Me and my best friend (who was also bullied with me) had to deal with that crap on our own, and we would get into trouble if we faught back. Gah! I always hated the school system. They are fnally trying to put adds and the like on TV about this kind of stuff, but I think it's a little late for that.
