People who knowingly lie steal the truth.

Lying can range anywhere from insignificance to the death penalty to me. All depends on what it's about.

depends on the lies really.. if it's something small and insignificant, then it doesn't matter, but if it's something that has actual impact on something or somebody then "very much" :D

I especially don't like it if a person is trying to gaslight you and that's why they're doing it

  • I hate them more the more believable they are and with what they lie about

If you can lie to me about something big and it's revealed later on, literally my trust in that person shatters like glass

I hate liars and misinformed people passing on other people's lies.

I guess you must hate everyone then. As far as can be determined Everyone lies some degree. We all have our "White Lies" that we use when people ask us about personal stuff that we feel they have no need to know or wish to be polite and not gross out people with the truth.

That falls under protecting our privacy from nosy people and being polite.

People who intentionally lie to distort something to their advantage outside of protecting their privacy or simple politeness fall into a different classification. I'm not going to say I hate them... But, I don't have much, if any, respect for them and avoid as much as possible from doing business with them.

    It depends.

Someone might lie to their significant other by saying they don't look a day over 35. Others might lie to say they have no idea how that missing kid's blood ended up on the backseat of their car.

    Lying is a huge spectrum.

I guess it depends on how bad the lies are and how much they do it. I had a few compulsive liar friends when I was younger, but they mostly lied about pretty harmless/stupid things, usually involving their own lives. It definitely got annoying, but I never hated them for it. I actually felt sorry for them, because they were making huge fools of themselves since the lies were not believable at all, and for the fact that they felt the need to lie about things like that in the first place. I also think some of them had issues differentiating reality from fantasy and were trying to make their fantasy worlds a reality. I just took everything that came from them with a grain of salt.

If someone spreads lies that are hurtful or does dishonest things like stealing and then lies about it, I definitely don't want those people in my life. I wouldn't say I hate them unless they really did something to hurt myself or my family, but I wouldn't want anything to do with them, either.

Tactful white lies are acceptable although I prefer to be told what I need to hear rather than what I want to hear as then I know where I stand but blatant, deliberate dishonesty no thank you. Dishonesty is my pet hate.

I don't hate them at all.
I just take the world at face value and figure everybody is lying.
If there is something in it for them, something to gain or lose.

I just think moral standards have declined to the point if you tell the truth you risk being cancelled or sued for what ever it is.
There is no acceptance that people can be different, or have different views and still get along.

There is also no forgiveness if you make a mistake and then own up to it.
So people have learned to hide or deni anything that they feel may be unacceptable or controversial.
