As someone who smoked for 5 years, let me be the first to tell you that you can NEVER have enough lighters. It always seems like just when you need one, there is never one there. So I would run down the the gas station and get one and I now have many dispersed throughout my car and apartment.
Spending money puts money back into the economy. I had an Economics Professor who stated that there is no such thing as wasting money because that money goes back into the economy and in turn, helps fund paychecks. So if you can afford it, buy them, but uh... just be careful with them.
