How many bones have you broken and how did it happen?

Up until a few weeks ago, I had never broken a bone. Long story short, I was in a predicament that landed me tied to a chair with my own armbinder harness used against me. anywho, I stupidly tried to chair hop to find some scissors and ended up tipping the chair back, landing on both of my elbows fracturing them....

Whenever people ask how it happened, they always gasp at how this is the first time and that my stupidity has not caused me to break more bones.

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

  • Left foot. Skiing accident. As I was coming down at speed, a kid popped in my path. I tried to steer around the kid, but that only resulted in a really weird and fast fall with my left foot being twisted really hard.

It wasn't all that bad... Sure I had to hop about and had to use crutches, but I stayed at home 'till I healed. No school XD
I could play GTA 3 as much as I wanted.

  • Just my left elbow, so far. I think I was in Pre-K (I think, the whole thing is confusing) and I had a play date to meet up with a friend at the playground.

We were on the swings when I got the stupid/insane idea to let go of the chains, to see what would happen.

I kid you not, I went flying like a bird, flew to the left when the swing seat got caught on me and slammed me down. I crash landed into the wood chip pile.

I was extremely lucky that I only broke my elbow. I could've (and should've) been either paralysed or killed.

I don't want to break anything else or get into similar situations again. I'm cautious. I don't pull dangerous crap like that anymore.

  • I broke both clavicles of a guy I played Touch Rugby against?

You don't know real pain until you have broken your own pinky toe

  • I have a weak ankle that just gives out on me from time to time, I have fractured my ankle I think 7 times, and have sprained it more than I can count. I will literally just be walking and my foot will flip upside down. There is a bone chip that is missing and never properly healed from the original injury.

The last time this happened, I did not even go to the hospital. I went to a drugstore and bought an air cast and a cane. I have treatment and recovery time down to a science.
