I have a couple and why cause they always have my back no matter what and I can message them whenever I like about my problems and stuff and we mostly hang out if their not busy. and there always there for me which I Forever appreciate and you?
By definition alone, you can only have one "best" friend. The others would have to be lesser than best or simply "friends".
I have 2.
One that I hangout with 3-4 times a week. She knows everything about me, every tick, every fear, every joy. We connect on a completely different level she's more than a friend,more than family.
She is 100% the other half of me.
(And no we are not romantically involved)
The other is the man I refer to as my brother. We don't talk much and only hang out every couple years.
But when we do nothing is changed or is close is to straight men can be.
I love both of them more than anything in the world except my kids.
Other than those two I have no friends
I usually choose two people each year, but i try to carry them over from one year to another as long as i can.

A few are best friends. People I can rely on in time of need and people, who know I got their backs. Everything else I consider drinking buddies... Friends that are always down for a barbecue, or having a couple of beers, but if shit gets serious, they mysteriously disappear, or are too busy.
That doesn't necessarily make them bad people, but you do learn who is more trustworthy.
Only two people out of my few best friends, I consider to be very trustworthy and like brothers to me. First one, I've known him since he was born. 5 years younger than me. The other one, we met on the first day at university and we've had each other's backs ever since. Guy got married and I was the best man at his wedding and he wants me to be the godfather, when his wife gives birth (sometime around winter). Only two people who know a large part of the real me and have seen me in my worst and best.
1 rn, probably only 1 growing up and that friend has moved away. Out of town.
My Dogs are my best friends my American bully and Chihuahua they both love me unconditionally, people care only about themselves.
My only true friend is my feline. I had a human friend for a while there, but it turned on me like a badly bred dog.

Had 2 in kindergarton and first grade. Moved. Havent had one since. Had one i would consider a best friend till she played on my abandonment issues in high school. Now days i have none.

I have 2 and they're quite nice, same political views, so we can stay in a closed-off bubble, and our taste in movies, music and etc is mostly the same too, while also having personalities different enough to not be boring.
At this stage in my life, I don't have friends. I don't even think I care about having friends.
