That's a good question. I've often thought of that myself. I used to be a heavy beer drinker. If I had beer in the house, I couldn't leave it alone. I would say that might define an alcoholic. As I've gotten older, I can still drink a lot, (I'm not bragging. That's nothing to be proud about), but I can go days, weeks, or months without any desire to drink. I guess if drinking becomes more important to you than work, family life, your overall health and wellbeing, then you might have a problem. But if a person drinks 8 beers after golf league every week, that's not. Just my opinion.
