An alcoholic can't stop drinking after taking the first drink. If you drink your six beers and then think "that's enough, I'll stop now" and that's okay for you then you're probably not an alcoholic. Heavy drinker perhaps and it might not be so good for your health in the long run, but if you can go to work the other days and the drinking is not affecting your life too badly then you're probably not an alcoholic.
