How long should you wait for full panel?

Say you had a drunken night with someone you dont know and didn't use protection. How long should you wait before getting a full panel done? Do some things take awhile to develop or is getting it done right away ok?

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

  • I googled and it said:

    "You're having unprotected sex.
Here's how long after exposure we can get a reliable test result: 2 weeks: gonorrhea and chlamydia (and a pregnancy test too!) 1 week to 3 months: syphilis. 6 weeks to 3 months: HIV, hepatitis C and B."

Must be because of the seroconversion period.

  • Couldn't you call your doctor and ask them when the best time is?

      • I dunno, you're talking about getting tested for stds right? Do you do that somewhere that's not like a medical place with doctors and nurses?

I'm not sure how that stuff works, I've never gotten tested. I just figured if blood work was being done...

Or are you talking about something else?
