It took me about a year to say it to my boyfriend. It was really awkward because he was my first boyfriend, but I wasn't his first girlfriend, so he was the first one to say it- about 6 months into the relationship. I wasn't ready to say it back yet to I would just respond with "And I'm attracted to you". But we've been together for 3 years now we say it freely all the time to the point where when we substituteit for something else like "thank you", or "please", or even "sorry", all depending on our tone.
