It mostly always gets worse dear, my bf only started physical abuse after 2 years of being together.. save yourself and your sanity and don't waste anymore time and effort on him.. his mean words/emotional abuse are already red flags that he is a toxic and troubled individual and most never change even when they swear they would and the neglect or abuse gets worse over time:C
