Up and down. Up is mostly consisting of work. I really love my job right now. Also up, I went to my brother's comedy show and also a band I love last weekend. They were both great.
Down...health issues and exhaustion are getting to me. Nothing that can't be fixed but it does make everything fucking difficult lately.
I'm doin' alright. My folks are still out of town, and have been since late September. I'm holding down the proverbial fort, taking care of their mail, situation.
I recently had a problem with the sprinkler system next door. The neighbors came over to tell me that the pipes were leaking out water at my folks house. The water was pouring out, and I of course ran out to check it in 40 something degree weather in my flip flops. It wasn't horrible, because I fixed it, but my feet were still kinda cold long after I got back inside. I did have to go inside my folks house next door, and check the crawlspace to make sure there were no leaks, broken pipes, or flooding. Then I raided the mixed nuts in their pantry, and snatched up all the hapless cashews I could find; good times.
I finally checked out the Golden Fleece Tavern, and found out that they have karaoke there on Thursday nights so I plan to go there for my birthday in two days on the 14th. I'll be fifty years old, and I'm not thrilled about that, but it sure beats the alternative!
Doing ok, day job is going ok, bought airplane tickets for Christmas for me and my girlfriend. We are gonna surprise my parents as they think I didn't get any vacation for Christmas and I'm not coming home.
Girlfriend's car broke down and it's gonna be too expensive to fix, since the car is a junker, so we are gonna have to scrap it. I'll have to rent a car trailer and take the dealership van to get the broken car to the scrapyard. Girlfriend is very cheery, cause she wants a new car... a convertible... in winter... So I gotta start looking for cheap convertibles near me. XD
Business at my gardening company is slowing down and that's kind of annoying, apart from a few customers that are mental about keeping their lawns clean. And since the wind is blowing leaves left and right, they pay good money to have my workers collect and dispose of the leaves. Normally we should dispose of them at the recycling center. But since leaves are a natural bio product, we just quietly dump them in a few spots out of town and spread them around a bit. We save a bit of money, leaves compost giving worms, plants bugs and other critters food. Hope it snows soon, cause for private snow clearing contractors, mild winters are a nightmare.
How are you doing? How did the exams go?
back in the day i useda rake all my leaves into the backa my pickup truck and go for a ride down the highway
that was too much work so id rake em into a pile and set em on fire with diesel fuel
