    For all of you talking about Thanksgiving, did you know that in the olden days the day after Thanksgiving (Black Friday) people would go and sell their slaves. Think of it like transfer deadline (if American football has). So the day after they celebrate how great the harvest was or whatever they sold their slaves because Americans are nuts.

      While America wasn't the only country to own and sell slaves, they were indeed the first to ban slavery. Remember most slaves were and are sold by their own people. I'll add that's not what black Friday is about or how it came about either.

        Hi, it appears I was completely wrong about Black Friday as it appears to represent the large amount of pedestrian and vehicle traffic causing a lot of accidents.

    Its my favorite holiday. Its the one day of the year when i stop bitching about how bad the world sucks and think about how much better i have it than so many other people. I wish turkey day was once a week, though i hate turkey. Yuck!

    I love the mashed potatoes! Because my mom hosts our family event, I get stuck with washing a 3 course fine china dinner set for 13 people plus crystal wine glasses... it’s not so bad until she barks, wash the dishes, NOW, while everyone else is having a good time conversing, I am stuck washing dishes.

          I've made jokes about a few people's IIN names, it's all in good humor. There was one whos name was Smithers and I made a few jokes about Mr.Burns waiting for him naked in his bed or something like that. Lol
