I'm going to be honest here and say that looks really do matter to me in looking for a potential partner. I know how shallow and even hypocritical this is, but there's no changing my fundamental mate-seeking instincts. I'm quite leniant about body types, but a reasonably pretty (or appealing) face is a must. This is all hypothetical though, since I've not yet actually been in a relationship.

You're not being shallow, you're being honest! I totally agree with you. I'd say looks matter more than personality but personality matters too. :)
