How far can you run?

How far can you run without stopping or having to walk? I can currently do 5k on hilly/uneven ground and 10k on flat ground.

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

  • About 6-10 steps is all thanks to emphysema: smokers, be warned!

  • I hate to say it, but I'm a terrible runner. I'm not even out of shape, I just truly do not enjoy running.

  • 3km was the most I've ever run.

  • My cardio is absolutely atrocious. I'm trying to train to be better but my lungs just can't keep up and I end up recovering from a 5 minute sprint for 15-20 minutes.

  • By run do you mean constantly? I'm an interval runner. I could bump up to the 5-9km range.
God almighty I hate straight up running though. I'm in the military so I'm at least capable of above average running but that doesnt mean I enjoy any of it.

  • Well I have done 5 miles and it was pretty easy.

  • Last I checked, it was 3km. After that, I need to walk a bit before I get started again. If I have no water or snacks along the way, it's even less. XD

  • There are literally only 2 reasons to run: someone you care about needs help, some ugly monster is chasing you.

    • Damn aren't you almost 50? I didn't know you were a runner lol. You could probably leave me in the dust.

    • Do you or did you ever do running events? Like 5k, 10k, etc?

      • 5k is about 3.5 miles. I've done one, and like Rose said: if you stretch (especially after), set a good pace with some music, you'll get there before you know it.

      • Not really, there was a race that I ran a couple of times when I was a teenager, but it was only two miles, and I didn't run very fast do I lost interest.

  • Not far at all. 2 km if I'm lucky. I've got lots of muscle mass to carry and haven't done a lick of cardio in years. Say i'm out of shape if you want, by I think I look pretty good naked and am decent at powerlifting.
