I like to daydream about my favorite fictional characters. They are essentially my imaginary friends, and I refer to them as such whenever I bring them up to the people I trust. I even talk to them out loud and voice their responses. My mom, as well as a therapist I once had, have both pointed out at different times that my imaginary friends seem to play a spiritual role in my life, which I agree with.
I also tend to have sexual fantasies about my imaginary friends. I don't pretend to have sex with them; instead I imagine them being in my favorite fetish situation. It's these fantasies that last the longest and trigger the biggest emotional response in me, because my fetish affects me in a lot more ways than just physical arousal.
