How do you think humans came into existence ?

I've heard of many theories and have thought deeply about it myself , but i would like to hear what you think .

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

  • To be honest they all sound like pointless meanings and make the human race look pathetic with no real purpose.

The big bang story tells us how but not why.

The God story tells us who created us but not why.

The aliens story tells us that we are just a test for a greater species and have no purpose other than to serve as data to the other greater species.

How anyone could accept any of it without really having good proof is beyond me, it's like you want to believe all humans (including yourself) have no meaning or live for another species/being.

I don't try to figure any of it out because such knowledge is beyond the human race, atleast for now. I don't dissbelieve in anything or believe in anythin because I simply could not know.

  • Big bang is such a huge theory. Can't you just say evolution?

  • i thinkkkk life is just one big preception to each and every one of us and whatever we believe will come to be just for us.

  • Better leave it unsloved to keep busy solving :P

  • the big bang + guidance from good ol God.

  • God create Adam and he was the first human on Earth. The people don't believe In God may go to hell until it's clear the sin then you come to heavan Good luck for the day of judgement

  • Captain obvious says: What could have caused the big bang if it created everything?

Modern biology has revealed that life is too complex to have come to exist by any other means than creation by an intelligent designer of some kind. Evolution is a 19th century pseudo-scientific fairy tale.

  • God created the big bang. There is no chance in the universe so the way the big bang was made caused everything to happen exactly as it did. Thus God did create humans because due the way the big bang was made life started on earth and it eventually evolved into humans.

  • I think there is definitely someone behind all of this.

    • Sometimes I think that the "there must be something behind this" is engrained into our brain as part of a survival technique. As highly intelligent species, our minds can question a lot - existence etc.... it can be a bit overwhelming, so is the whole "there MUST be something to this" idea might be engrained so that we don’t kill ourselves wondering - Probably waaaay out there, but its something I wonder.
Sometimes I think that the whole universe is a living thing - everything is living.

    • "I think there is definitely someone behind all of this." Simple but wise.

When one comes upon a well-built house, stocked with food and furniture, electricity, plumbing, and all manner of amazing, complex devices, does he try to come up with bizarre and fantastic naturalist explanations for it's existence? Or does he merely think that someone obviously designed and built it?

People believe in atheistic creation theories because they want to.

    • God. I think God creates the whole science thing too.

Wow, this statement says a lot about how you were brought up, your education level, and what your mindset is. Good luck.

  • From God but I don't mean that as most people mean it. I am refering to brain dead christians who don't read their own damned book. The christians who don't question what comes out of a pastors mouth. Many would call me religious but I am not I have never been to church or a synagogue or a mosque. I am deeply spiritual to my core, so yes I believe that God (or whatever "it" is) created everything but I mean it so much differently than most. So please do not misjudge my character.

  • Our whole universe was in a hot dense state,
Then nearly fourteen billion years ago expansion started, wait...
    The Earth began to cool,
    The autotrophs began to drool,
    Neanderthals developed tools,
We built a wall (we built the pyramids),
Math, science, history, unravelling the mysteries,
That all started with the big bang!

"Since the dawn of man" is really not that long,
As every galaxy was formed in less time than it takes to sing this song.
A fraction of a second and the elements were made.
    The bipeds stood up straight,
The dinosaurs all met their fate,
They tried to leap but they were late
And they all died (they froze their asses off)
    The oceans and pangea
See ya, wouldn't wanna be ya
Set in motion by the same big bang!

It all started with the big BANG!

It's expanding ever outward but one day
It will cause the stars to go the other way,
Collapsing ever inward, we won't be here, it won't be heard
Our best and brightest figure that it'll make an even bigger bang!

Australopithecus would really have been sick of us
Debating how we're here, they're catching deer (we're catching viruses)
    Religion or astronomy, Encarta, Deuteronomy
It all started with the big bang!

Music and mythology, Einstein and astrology
It all started with the big bang!
It all started with the big BANG!

  • Once a system of particles can duplicate itself, it is inevitable that minor changes caused by radiation and physical/chemical contaminates will either aid the system in duplication by accidental coincidence or not aid the system. Those of which that are aided survive better than those of which who aren't. That's the simplified version of natural selection. Believe it or not, not all the DNA in your body is the same. In fact, each cell in your body has around 150,000 damaged DNA bases on average. This is where we get cancer (mutated cells that have lost all of their growth control genes and continually duplicate) and evolution (combined with mating, of course).
Even with this said, I still choose to believe in rational deism for my own sake and the fact that awareness is too hard to fully comprehend.

    • Mutations cannot account for the genetic diversity of the living beings on earth. Not even close. Evolutionists themselves are actually beginning to abandon the idea that mutations had anything to do with it, and are increasingly trying to expand on the "punctuated equilibrium" theory in it's place. This is also necessary in order to explain the current complete lack of intermediate fossils. There is currently no known way for new, complex, functional DNA to come into existence through naturalistic means.

God is still the most logical answer from a completely objective objective point of view.

      • The light receptors in vertebrate eyes are backwards, which cause light to have to pass through nerve endings before reaching them. This makes our peripheral vision quite inefficient and we actually hallucinate much of it. I believe that is a mistake only random variation could make. Also there are many vestigial organs/appendages in animals like the appendix and dog's dewclaws. I don't know why there aren't more intermediary fossils, but this science is still pretty young. Who knows, like I said I like to believe in God, but I feel as though we are naturally prone to believe in such things.

    • No modern evolutionary biologist believes anything that Darwin theorized. His ideas are complete scientific junk. The man was not a scientist in any sense.

      • Wikipedia's evolution page clearly points to Darwin's theory three times as a key component of today's theory of evolution.

"There are four common mechanisms of evolution. The first mechanism is natural selection..."

"Darwinian theories of evolution were combined with genetics, palaeontology and systematics, which culminated into a union of ideas known as the modern evolutionary synthesis"

"Prior to the work of Charles Darwin, the study of evolution was not scientific."

        http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evolution

I know wikipedia isn't 100% trust worthy but it's not just nonsense either. And the last quote is well referenced (citation 18).

maybe you could point me to a source that argues otherwise...

  • Started with Physics, moved through Chemistry, became Biology. Now we're so complex and bizarre that we think it must mean something more than it does.

Things can be complex without meaning something.

  • We'll never know. Something must of existed eternally whether it was the big bang, some guy with a beard or something else. But as humans we can't accept that something was all ways there, it seems impossible.

I think the big bang created something and that something created the big bang like a loop. The episode of Family (The Big Bang Theory)shows a good example of this.

Because I think it's impossible for something to have been always there.
