I've heard people say over the years that the Chinese, Japanese and the Koreans have different facial features, which sets them apart from each other. I don't see it at all. How do you tell them apart just by looking at them?

Why does it matter? How can you tell the difference between a Canadian, USA, and English person?
Are we applying this to just white or all Americans and by the way Canadians and Mexicans are Americans as well.
Are you applying the term to just US Americans.
US Americans are the hardest to tell because their originally from all over the world Unless we're talking the American Indian or Eskimo.
That is if we are just doing looks, now take in attitude, personality, actions, and to some point attire, then most US American's can be picked out right away.
Korean is definitely the easiest to tell apart. Both by facial features and language. Chinese and Japanese do have subtle differences in facial features though.
I can definitely tell. They have certain characteristics, style etc that I can pretty much 99% of the time distinguish. Especially Japanese
I am able to tell them apart intuitively. Unfortunately I can't tell what facial features make it possible.
I dont. I dont really care. If I meet someone who looks like they're of either etnicity I don't exactly ask them which. The chance is nowadays they'll get deeply offended because it's politically incorrect to assume someone isn't from the country they currently live in even if they look foreign so I just leave it until they tell me something which gives me a clue of where they're from.
You just need to spend time differentiating between them. As in spend your time in korea town and see what a pure Korean looks like.
You can tell through certain characteristic traits.
They are very easy to confuse.
But I can tell through the language they speak.
