Use a good pair is garden shears. Gets the job done like no other.

You might need to just trim very closely. I had that problem where shaving hurt and itched like crazy. Stick to trimming as short as possible. Works just as well.

I personally recommend a saw

For me, I use a feminine shaver thing, you can probs find them in most stores but failing that just trim instead.
