Eeek! I just saw the chart for famous people. I now think I'm a bit of an extremist. I'm much more of a libertarian than Nelson Mandela and the Dalai Lama and even Gandhi. :O

I just finished. That is a very naughty test in some of the attitudes it questions about war and culture and caring for each other. Anyway, I got:
Economic Left/Right: -6.12
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.33
Puts me pretty much in the middle of the green square (just slightly to the left). If I'm -6.12 on a scale of -10 to +10, then I'd be +6.12 if left was higher (as it is in this post). Add 11 points to the scale and I'm +17.12 on a scale of 1 to 21. But the question was about 1 to 9, so divide it by 21/9 (2.3333) and on the scale of 1 to 9, I end up at 7.34.
Guess I'm more left-wing than I thought. Between a 7 and an 8.
I'd be interested if everyone answered this with what they thought they were and then took your test. :D

Wow, I really don't know what to think about being more libertarian than Gandhi and Nelson Mandela:O I guess that's probably a good thing. I'm gonna google all these terms before I start getting worried, since I have no idea what it means to be econimically left, even though that's what I am:S!

Our libertarian results mean that we value our personal freedoms and the personal freedoms of others. We don't want things like the death penalty and we don't want to go to war or "bomb some country back to the Stone Age" just for revenge. We believe that, sexually, what happens behind closed doors shouldn't be regulated or monitored (it's up to the people involved) and being gay, for instance, shouldn't mean you can't get married.
Our political results mean we believe in free health care for all and that welfare should help those who need it. We believe that big business can't be trusted to look after the environment (and needs to be monitored) and we believe that the tax burden shouldn't be unfairly loaded on the backs of the poor. We believe that people are born with equal rights and that money doesn't buy you further rights (only nicer things).
How do you see yourself politically?
