I'm a male but I love to be called pretty, used to hate it as a teen, but love it now in my early twenties. I've kinda grown into being in the category of a prettyboy and get kinda discouraged at being called handsome cause it's not really what I'm going for anymore lol.
I'm a guy, and don't really care what words are used for compliments. Have heard cute, good-looking, sexy, etc. Doesn't matter to me.
Do know a few very beautiful, attractive women who hate any compliment, as they've heard them all and are tired of it. One woman, in her mid-20s, worked at sports bar I go to, and, is just..gifted beautiful. Can't not look at her and think, my god, she's gorgeous. She is, but, hates hearing it. One night said "If one more person calls me pretty, I'm going to scream!".
Tbh, I'd prefer any compliment. I have never, during my entire life, been complimented for my looks. I am aware this is valid; I am not very good-looking at all, but if I had to choose I'd pick either 'handsome' or 'attractive'. 'Hot', 'sexy', 'pretty' and beautiful are way too gay and 'cute' sounds kind of demeaning lol.
Probably I would not even know how to take a complimented. When complimented for achievements, I just shake them as either unnecessary, sarcastic or even undeserved...Perhaps I am Autistic. :p
