How do you flush in public restrooms?

I flush using toilet paper as a barrier to keep from touching the handle. You'd be surprised how easy it is to pick up E-coli this way. Of course, good hand washing takes care of that. I do it because I just don't like to touch something that might be really contaminated...Also, I take an immune-suppressant drug. Public bathrooms can be pretty grungy.
