How do you feel about selfies?

I have a hard time conjuring up any strong feelings about them. They're just pictures.

The word itself makes it seem pretty self-absorbed. Really, though, taking loads of self portraits and posting them on social media is super tacky. It's not something I would ever do.

I don't take them all the time, but I like it when I do. I used to do them every single day back when I didn't take much interest in mirrors, but now I have a mirror(s), so I rarely do them, and the only times I do is if I am on cam and I take a screenshot or someone else takes a screenshot, which the second isn't much of a selfie, but meh.

I'm sick of it. Everywhere you go, people snapping an endless slew of photos of themselves. More than that I just hate the word "selfie", it makes me cringe.

I don't like selfies. I've seen some girls with the same exact selfie with just different clothing. The same pose and all.

Profile picture: Acceptable

Everything else: Unacceptable

Of all possible things to over-think, I don't know why people choose selfies :P

I don't take one unless I want to make a profile picture. I don't see why some people care about their selfies looking perfect, but that's because I don't get the obsession with a perfect appearance in selfie form or otherwise.

Selfies are asinine- for some reason EVERYONE I date wants me to send them a selfie even though they see me on a regular basis. *sigh...I guess I can understand why people use them for social networking and the like, but it seems to me that people spend far too much time focusing on lighting and angles, seems self aggrandizing.

Depends on who's taking a selfie. Some people are ridiculously photogenic.

I never really do it, but I don't see why people are so bothered by it. If a person enjoys taking selfies, why not just let them do it.

Annoying, stop taking pics of yourself with your damn lattes and pasta. We've all seen fucking food before. And the duck face thing is so spent.

I actually take selfies fairly frequently. Mostly to get a good idea of where things should be layed out in drawings. Although sometimes I take em if I'm bored, but I don't share them with anyone. I'd feel silly.

Sometimes when you're really horny and you don't have a partner a selfie will tide you over till your next lay.

it's not so mucht the selfies themselves, it's the constant use of hashtags that piss me off. YOU ONLY HAVE 140 CHARACTERS TO WORK WITH, DUMBASS!!! And what pisses me off EVEN MORE is when people say "hashtag" in real life conversations.

I had to teach my friend what a selfie was... He's one of those people who "haven't been through the morden world and met modern technology". I had to say: Okay, dude, what are the definitionw of "photo" and "picture"?

Friend: *said something like it came right out from a dictionary*

Me: Okay, now what about "self"?

Friend: *goes on again*

Me: Put those together and...

Friend: Oh! It's a photo of yourself! I get it! Let me take a selfie! *selfie*

It just a way to take a picture without needing someone else to press the button.

Uhh, indifferent?

I do it during those rare times I try on make up or straighten my hair to see how it would look in a photo. I always delete them afterwards since I'm not very photogenic.
