  • Honestly, it can be frustrating sometimes in the work setting. They're trying to tell me something and I don't understand a word of it. I tried to learn Spanish back in high school. I took Spanish 1-3, passed the classes and the regents exams, but came out learning nothing. I even tried to learn after high school ended, but had no success. I'm not really made of money to attempt to learn again and going online/picking up a book for self teaching this sort of stuff never got me anywhere, so I have no idea what I'm going to do. I sort of feel like I fell behind somehow because BOTH my parents are Hispanic and speak fluent Spanish, but never bothered to teach me. Not sure if any of this makes sense.

    • I'm also Hispanic, but I think Spanish is highly overrated. I don't like speaking it and hearing it. Most of the fluent speakers don't sound educated, nor is the language audibally aesthetic. If I could I would give you my fluency for another, like German or Polish.
