Some of you have exposed a lot of your private lives here and there's no taking it back - from the time we had profile pictures up to now by sharing YouTube channels and family pics. Do you feel all right about it? Or do you fear any consequences? I do.

I've shared a fair amount of personal details, but none I think are identifying.
I've given my first name, but never my last in public. I used to have an iin "burner" email. Learned my lesson the hard way.
Don't have a youtube channel but if I did, I wouldn't share it here. Wtf.
I have, and would in the future, privately share contact details with individuals. People here have my Facebook, email, phone number, home address and my boyfriend's address. But only people I trust.

Not really sure what the big deal would be, though. He doesn't care enough to do shit on his own website, he's not gonna stalk me. And hate is a very strong word for people I've never met. Dislike, disgust, sure. Hate? Eh. Only my aunt.
I wouldn't like to lose my anonymity, but it wouldn't be the end of the world if I did.
Also, you can just deny stuff. Like that dude who is always posting about shitting his pants - he could just say he was lying/joking/trolling/hacked etc. All we're doing is writing comments. Just because someone linked to a social media account or an Imgur album, doesn't mean it's actually them. Everything could just be a lie.
I feel alright about it, I like sharing about what I have been going through in like and whatnot.
Likewise I am just a fellow normie who is on here for fun!
Meh, profile pics were taken down back in 2017, so I doubt anyone still remembers what my mug looks like.
As for the private stuff, I've confessed to things like my fetish, dumb things I used to do at my workplace, my insecurities, and a host of other shit. I really don't care if people find out about it anymore. XD

Yup, and I've been meaning to ask you to share your fave recipes! The ones I tried sucked
This chocolate one is pretty good:
1/4 cup all purpose flour
2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 tsp baking powder
2 tbsp sugar
A pinch of salt
1/4 cup + 1 tbsp milk
2 tablespoons of vegetable oil or melted butter
1-2 tablespoons of chocolate chips
Put the dry ingredients in the mug first and mix them. Then, mix the wet ingredients in. (I've seen people use separate bowls to mix the wet ingredients together and the dry ingredients together before adding them into the mug, so if you want to do that, you can.)
Add the chocolate chips.
Microwave the mug cake for 60 seconds. It could be 10-20 seconds more depending on your microwave.
Once it's done cooking in the microwave, enjoy it!

I'm from the generation that grew up with social media. Half of my life has been shared, and I'm relatively open in general.
I would never give out anything like address or the likes unless I trust the person. That's internet 101. As for "personal stuff" like insecurities and sexual activity, some people are more open than others about those things.
Most sites it doesnt matter if people know about you but this site and 4chan and sites like that are especially bad with stalker type ppl
I have no idea who that's a picture of, but it seems to me that anyone who wants to maintain their anonymity should avoid posting any pictures that show their face these days since reverse image searching is constantly getting better all the time.
The free reverse image searches I just used with that picture (seriously, just out of curiosity and to give you a PM heads-up if I'd found anything) didn't find any hits. But I'm certain that there are more sophisticated search engines out there that would be able to pick out the face of the woman in the photo and match it to something on, say, Facebook or whatever.
And since this site apparently has weaknesses which allow people to figure out which user posted a supposedly anonymous OP...
I've shared my youtube channel on here. I'm not really bothered. I doubt people are gonna be like commenting lewd stuff on my videos or anything and if they did that then I'd just delete the comments
I'm sure some inquisitive mind out there might triangulate the scraps of my irl life together from IIN. Though I'm not that interesting so I'm not really worth that effort.
When it comes to giving opinions, I say nothing online I wouldn't say in the real world as I'm direct like that. But my private life is exactly that. I am and always will be a closed book. I never use pictures of myself as avatars and although I admit I'm from Ireland originally, where I live now is locked in aforesaid book along with everything else about me.

I’m not worried about this site knowing “too much” as I deliberately don’t say anything identifying. My old Facebook is the only thing that worries me a bit. It’s got a fake name now, my profile pic is from far away so you can’t really see my face, I’ve stripped it of all my old schools and I think I’ve deleted most of the unsavoury posts, but it seems every time I try to do a cleanup of it I find more awful stuff.
i don't really have any noteworthy form of social media besides this. you will not be able to find me on most of the internet, accept for maybe goodreads.
i mentioned on a previous account what city/county i live in to another user who lives nearby in my state. it was posted publicly in the replies to another user who lived, like, 30 -45 minutes away of smth?
never posted a photo of myself, but did use that van gogh thingy of the skeleton smoking -i used to joke that he had more meat on him than me.

I dump all my dirty laundry on IIN from time to time. I get to vent about personal shit, I get to talk about myself, nobody can do anything about, winning situation.
But never will I ever give anybody any identifying information, not like you dorks will be showing up to Siberia anytime soon, but I keep myself locked down tight. I do talk to IIN people outside of IIN, but it’s still locked down
I write revealing things on here. I don't really interact with anyone though. There are people who would like to humiliate me based on things I've written here, but they have no real power over me if I don't care if they laugh at me
There's not really anything to lose if people figure out this account belongs to me. Even if things line up for anyone who knows me there's still enough plausible deniability that it could be someone else and some of the details expressed here could be false
I'm pretty comfortable with sharing and seeing what people say. It's just who I am and what I've experienced. The site's anonymous enough. The only people irl that know I use this site are the girl who showed it to me and someone from an old job, and she probably doesn't want to talk to me regardless and I don't really care about that person or anyone else from that job, all they can do is laugh
I dont go out of my way to annoy people if I keep arguing with them I just block them.
But there are some weird ass people on here that record everything. People with usernames I never even seen will bring up something I posted years ago and dont even remember saying. This is weird to me I think theres some trolls that take screenshots or records of everything. And they waste their time finding out through the block method what you posted anonymously and tell you as if its impressive that they know. But it takes too much time I dont see why they even care to do it. Its just sad.
To be real tho I have saved info on a people who have made threats against me before. I could easily have their address today if I wanted or maybe I do have one persons idk. Id never go after anyone but if they did follow through with threats like trying to swat me or go after family I'd show up at their house or somethin lol. We arent as secure as we think
