How do you define true friends?

A friend you never get tired of, you can tell them anything and they will at least try to understand, they have many of the same interests as you, and you enjoy being with them... I have yet to find a true friend like that... maybe I am just too specific...

A true friend is honest and trustworthy, they keep secrets, won't gossip about you or with you (If someone is gossiping about you, will your friend step in and put a stop to it?). Do they tell the truth? If they lie to you or about you, they are not a true friend. At the same time, however, a true friend will always look out for you. If you ask a friend to keep something that's harmful a secret,(like drug use or stealing), they may tell somebody in an attempt to get you help that's not betrayal, that's caring. Good friends are good listeners (do they listen to you or only talk about themselves?),loyal (are they still your friend when you're sick or out of money?)They are available when you really need them. They are supportive (will never make you do something that goes against your moral beliefs)

If your friend has these qualities, you know you have found someone who is a true friend. Be a good friend to this person, and you'll benefit from this friendship for many years to come.

I thought i have found one,but then we kept on quarelling after a few month of good relationship with him.I finaly realize that i fall in love with him and i am mad at him because he is in love with someone else and it hurt a lot

Well, he should spend some time with his buddies, but if he wants to mingle at some point in the evening, I think you should let him. I don't like to spend my entire evening with the same people either.

Start going out with a couple of friends, not just one. That way, anyone can wander off from the group if they want to without leaving someone on his own

A true friend is someone you can be apart from for months/years at a time and pick up exactly where you left off when you reconnect. You love each exactly for what your are and you do not judge or apologize for being yourself.

They will also call you out on your bullshit, but still love you for it.

They will clean up your puke during a hard night of partying and play loud music to fuck with you while making a greasy breakfast for you.

A true friend is someone who would lay down their life for you. What I mean by that is they would stop being so self centered and selfish and go out of their way to help you if you really needed the help. Even a phone call to see how you are doing. Also a real friend is someone who is not afraid to tell you that you have changed quite dramaticaly for better or worse. Unfortunately for me it's like nobody cares. I feel abandoned with all the other baby seals.

I don't believe in true friends it's just a cliche that exists in fairy tales and movies. Unless you have something to offer them, other people won't like you.

I can define true friend in a fewer ways, the one who accepts who you are, comes for your aid at the right time not all the time, the one who at your side when you're down/helpless, share with you each moments from the deepest turmoil to the top of your happiness and best of all, they are ready to tell it off when you are wrong but always be your back spine if the whole world pointing against you. Is this person sounds too perfect? he/she might be you.

Someone who likes you for who you are, and when you're together it's just easy and fun. No bs.

I define my true friend as someone who I feel, who I know, despite everything, judges me but doesn't care. Wants me in their life even though they know they can live without me. Someone who takes a chance on me like I take a chance on them. I've had a couple people screw me over, but for the several that don't and still around, they make my world a brighter place.

I think the true friends are those that you may don't contact a lot, but when needed he or she could appear before you to help you, this is the true friends.

A close friend has a level at or slightly lower than the relationship between a functional pair of brothers or sisters. It all depends upon the respect for one another, the bonding and the level to which they watch out for one another. The more of those three categories, the more you have a true friend but there are also some other categories that play part as well, I just feel that these are the most crucial elements.

I tried to make of a dwarf a real friend because i was depressed the time i met him and i needed somebody to talk to. I told him some personal stuff and he went on telling to other people my faultified intimate info in the form of sarcasm. He backstabbed me. He convinced some people that i'm a dolt or dullard and i'm too shy to prove the opposit. He ruined my life. He was the worst person i met in my whole life.

Will i be selfish if i wanted my friend to only be my friend and not mix with someone else????
