Playing or listening to music, exercise, or some sort of combination of the second two. The exercise can either take the form of a long walk (or even *gasp* a run :P) or something explosive like press-ups (which I've only just discovered as a brilliant de-stressor, and works very well in the middle of the night when you have to be both quiet and indoors). Eating has never helped de-stress me or make me more stressed; it's quite a neutral action. Drinking helps, but only if it's a depressed sort of stressing (as opposed to an angry or an anxious sort of stressing).
