  • One of the most important things to do is to develop a mental picture. It doesn't matter what it is, just a simple, easy to remember picture. Throughout the day, close your eyes for a few minutes and try to imagine your picture. And don't keep changing it. Recognition is key.

    Imagine your picture before you go to sleep. Concentrate on it. It might take awhile, but eventually, you'll start seeing the picture while you're dreaming. It'll be in unusual places sometimes like on windows, mirrors, etc., so you need to focus. I once saw mine- a pumpkin- a a bathroom stall door.

    Anyhow, when you see your picture somewhere other than your mind, it should alert you that you're dreaming.

    Really hope this helps! It worked for me. And remember, be patient. It may take months before you have a lucid dream.
