Honestly, If you have to ask if you are good looking you aren't. Good looking people are constantly hit on and flirted with. People stare at you with hatred out of jealousy. There are constant glances in your direction. You get treated differently, special favors, free coffee just cause, comped desserts, job offers from random people who don't know you can do the job etc, etc, etc.
There is good news tho. When someone is in love with you, your looks don't matter to them, so don't worry about it. In fact, they think you are beautiful because they love the inner you. It's amazing.
Your second paragraph is very true. You fall in love and they will fall in love with the inner you.
Your first paragraph, I don't know if it's true that everyone will offer you jobs, do more favors for you, etc. just based on your looks, but some will, and they're not worth it. Just stick with the thinking of your second paragraph, and find someone special who loves you for you.
