  • Cost of living has increased. It's cheaper and easier to stay with the parents until enough is saved up to get a proper place. Anyway purchasing the first car is more important than renting an apartment. Parents don't mind either so win-win.

    • I dont buy that tho. I was on my own at 17 during the recession in 2008 (and im str8 DUMB). I could name off 10 jobs that pay over 100,000 a year without a highschool diploma. I dont want him to tell me why he cant. He has to figure it out. Theres winners and losers in life. No one cares why the losers are losing. The pretty girl hes going to go after isnt going to care about the cost of living keeping him in his parents house. Shes going after the dude on his own thats successful.

      • In another comment you wrote that you were kicked out the house at a young age. Is this a prevalent thing in the US? Not all cultures are like that, in fact I think most aren't.

And I don't quite agree with the last bit. Girls understand, hell they're probably in the same situation. You get girls that are well-off but still live with the parents, because as I said before, it's convenient and a lot of people do it.

        • Why would you work for minimum wage? You're better than that. Thats for convicts and teenagers to work.

UPS pays drivers 38 an hour and this year its going up to 40.

North Dakota oil rigs are paying 100,000 to anyone that will work them and they pay drivers 350,000 or more a year.

Iceroad truckers can make over a million a year.

Amazon is paying people 150,000 to work in offices.

Walmart pays drivers 40 an hour too.

You could start a grass cutting business that pays very good in the summer.

          Roofers make good money.

You could learn to lay conceete that pays good too.

          Plumbers make good money.

Those dudea that work on telephone poles make a killing too.

TDS pays contractors atleast 100,000 a year.

You could roof for good money until you become good enough at it to become a contractor and pay other roofers to do it. You can make serious cash doing that. Way over 100 a year
