We all did pretty much the same thing, yet everyone thinks crap like "We knew we had to work hard for what we wanted". Oh bullshit. Most every kid has an entitlement attitude. It is because kids do not know what the real world is like yet.
I hear people MY age (40's) talking about how we didn't feel entitled. BULLshit. We were just as bad, as are the millenials, and so wil be your child's generation until they get old enough to know better.
Adults are living with their parents longer now. You have these millenials arguing about how "evil" rich ppl are and talking about gender pronouns and racism, etc. That snowflake mindset just holds them back in life because in their mind NOTHING is their fault. Thats what I'm trying to avoid.
Things will be worse by the time he grows up.
All you can do is teach him best you can and hope he makes the right choices.
Some kids grow up and do well while others grow up rotten, even if raised in the same household by same parents. Like my brother's two kids. One is 29 and has some kind of degree and job in mental health while the other one is 33 and has a pretty solid criminal record.
Also, the world always blames the latest generation for all the world's problems yet they have not been around long enough to have any real impact.
BTW, I have gathered that a "snowflake" must be someone who is against immigrants, LGBT, or anything that is not straight white republican folks?
No call them whatever you want, I call them snowflakes, but I'm referring to cry baby, entitled, hysterical people that usually work for 10 an hour and complain about the world. Its not really the political views im referring to but the cry baby attitude.
How do I keep my son from becoming a snowflake?
