How do i deal with being stood up

I feel incredibly stupid and this lowkey sucked away my bubbly spirit that night tbh. I was so excited to see him... I waited at the bar for an hour, no response... like how does it start off with him saying how much he likes me, going out of his way for me in such to dry texting tf out of me for a whole damn week and being stood up at a bar which ended in me FaceTiming my best friend at 2am crying. I want to handle it maturely because I’m 23 and he is 31. Yep, not 29, not 28, but the dirty 30s. It took everything in me not to send a nasty text message as my best friend talked me out of it. I figured that he is right and I should just be the bigger person. But a part of me just wants to stand up for myself? What do you think I should do

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

  • You met this guy online? Online dating websites are full of shit people. The only thing you can do is just forget this person and move on.

      • Ah ok.
He wasn't acting like a great dude toward you, so you still might want to forget about him and move on.

      • He doesn't sound like a great dude to me.

      • Most people who really know me wpuld call me a great dude too. People who dont know me probably think im an asshole, because i kind of am an asshole.

However, you have not known him that long, so im not sure why you are so emotionally invested. Brush it off and move on. If this guy is that great of a dude, then he will contact you and try to mitigate the situation. Sounds like he has blown you off instead, and that does not sound like a great dude to me. More like a great douche.

  • Just try to forget about this dude. For whatever reason he's just not that into you. A lot of flaky people come on real strong in the beginning, and then seem to kinda go into hiding later on when they feel like they're been too friendly, and get overwhelmed. Normal people tend to not come on so strong in the beginning.
