I'm 18 and my good friend and neighbor a few houses down is a 38 year old woman that I'm deeply in love with, I've decided to tell her but I'm not sure the best way to do it, I'm open do any suggestions and please be as specific and detailed as possible, even step by step thank you

    Take the direct approach. It's more humiliating to yourself to try to be coy or passive about it and get a rejection. If you're up front then you'll know it in no uncertain terms. In private and face to face is the best way to handle a conversation that isn't anyone else's business. Choose a neutral ground, somewhere without obligations and ease of escape for both of you - like a park. Going out to eat for this sort of thing is usually a terrible idea. Picking up food can ease the pain and usually puts people in a good mood. Find a relatively private bench somewhere, get comfortable and then lay it out. Don't spring it, don't try to be anything you're not, just speak like a human being and be yourself.The next part isn't up to you. Worst case you get rejected. Best case she feels the same way. Maybe it will be more complicated than that. Either way, you'll have all the information you need to decide what to do next.

      Did you read the part where she's more than twice his age? Who the hell is this advice for? Yeah just gonna ask a woman old enough to be my mother if she wants to go for a little 1 on 1 in the park! HAHAHAHAHA!!!

      How about reevaluate your definition of "love" (the most misused word in the english language). I don't know what your relationship with this woman is. Have you ever talked to her (more than hi)? do you know anything about her (other than how she looks)? If not then my advice is there's nothing worth confessing. Might as well walk up to her and say "you're hot".

      If you see her often, you really connect. She relates to you, you to her. You can discuss something serious, you can even argue without becoming distant. Then maybe there's something there.

      So what's your deal kid? Do you two really know each other on that level?
