How dirty (or clean) is your microwave right now?

Right now, at this very moment, what is the state of cleanliness or filthiness in your microwave?

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

  • I know I am in the minority here, but no microwave for me. Food is better cooked on stoves anyway, albeit not always easier or faster.

  • Clean. The best and easiest way to clean it using only water. Put a mug or something with some water in it in the micro. Heat for a few minutes til its all steamy and full of condensation. Wipe. Ta-da!

  • I said "Clean overall but a small drip or drop." I don't know if that's completely true, but it's 1 AM, and I'm not about to get out of bed to check.

  • mine is spotless. dirty microwaves gross me out. i even clean the ones at work before I use them. people are so nasty and lazy when using something that's not their own.

  • I normally do my cleaning on Sunday and it should theoretically be spotless. But alas, I have been distracted by the lure of sitting around and doing nothing, so it's a bit dirty. There's some spilt tarka dall that I've yet to clean up.

  • although it recieves large doses of cleansing radiation regularly...licking the inside of my microwave would cause intense,LSD like reactions within seconds

  • Our microwave is rarely cleaned, but it manages to stay fairly spotless.

  • I honestly don't want to know. Don't make me open it up. I haven't used that thing in years...

      • It is definitely more than upsetting. I look at microwaves at the store often. I miss my popcorn most of all. They're just so expensive and I have better things I need to buy right now. :(

        • Popcorn can be cooked on a stove too though! Honestly, once you make homemade popcorn you won't go back. Ramon noodles are better cooked on the stove too. Try it and see.

            • Oh it's fun! My mom bought an air-popper a long time ago when I was a kid and it was always such fun to do!! Before the air popper, we'd make it on the stove in a pot, it was so fun when the popcorn popped up and lifted the lid off the pot! It was always such a special treat whenever we made popcorn.

        • I "stole" my current microwave from my parents...I have a brand new one but it's a built-in and it doesn't work here so....it just ended up this way. Yeah, if I had to have gone out and bought one I'd have been screwed at the moment (well, beyond the "moment"!!) I feel ya, I did the same thing before...
