How difficult is it for you to concentrate with noise?

  • You know what? I've actually been considering it. My life is all out of whack and I want to do something natural to get my balance back.

      • Have you got any tips on types of meditation or online links you can point me at?

        Thanks, by the way.

There are basically three types of meditation, samadhi(concentration), vipassana (insight) and mithree (loving-kindness). If you want a balanced meditation session, all three have to be incorporated into your meditation sessions.

My advice is to start with concentration and loving-kindness meditations as vipassana can't be done without a proper guide (trust me on this, I've gone on many tangents that lead nowhere, though each time I mess up I suppose there is some experience gained...but then again why waste the time right?).

Feel free to e-mail me at [email protected] if you've got any questions since I don't really check this very often

          • Thank you very much indeed. I'll make a note of the email address, as long as you don't mind me asking questions.

            • If I know it I'll definitely help you with it. Problem with meditation though is that it's such a vast area, I'm still searching for a good teacher myself.
