For me it was 4 months ago, I went searching is it normal to find death funny? ( An old is it normal post I went to that was made in 2010 by someone ) was where I stumbled upon this site after finding my answer, so I obviously went signing up on this website and went asking questions, as time progressed I had met nice people on this site.

In 2012, my girlfriend of 18 months blindsided me by boxing up the clothes I had at her house and sending them to me. I felt terrible. Out of pure hopelessness, I googled up, "Is it normal to unexpectedly be destroyed?" Since then, IIN has taught me that the path of personal destruction need not be an unpleasant experience. This is a happy place.
I too was looking for something and I typed "is it normal". The suggestions started like "is it normal to bleed after sex". I said whisky tango foxtrot and just had to see what that was all about. And the rest is history.
Got banned from yahoo answers and wanted another webpage to troll when i'm bored.
Came here asking if obsessing about my car was normal. Back when I was 18, 19, my C-class was my everything. I loved that car more than I loved my first girlfriend... Now I don't obsess. Not in a negative way at least...
I still love all of my cars and hate seeing scratches, doors slammed, etc... but I don't go into depression, whenever I go through a pothole, or see a new stone chip on the paint.
Even as someone who drives an "ordinary" car, I think I obsess a bit too much over parking away from everyone so some dumbass doesn't leave another ding in my door, and if someone pulls up right next to me as I park, I will actually leave the spot and go to a different and more isolated one, even if it seems weird or rude. I try not to park next to anyone if I can, because apparently most people are too stupid to keep from slamming their doors into mine, actually hold onto the damn thing in the wind, etc. I also found a couple of scuffs (that will fortunately buff out) from where I'm guessing some dipshit probably swiped their car up against mine, was too lazy to put their cart away at the store and the wind slammed it into mine, etc.
This is my first car and is very sentimental to me, and I don't take kindly to people carelessly damaging it (and am always appalled at how few people seem to have been taught to respect others' property; they feel if it's not theirs, then it's not their problem, even if they're the brainless morons who damaged it in the first place). I can't stand people.
I actually started to tear up when I saw a bit of rust in the wheel wells and have been super pissed off about the paint chips from shitty-ass gravel roads (I can't wait to get a second car I don't give a shit about so I can retire my nice one from those shit roads, and fix the paint). At least both of those things can be fixed and neither are super noticeable or really bad, probably just me being overly particular.

I was doing my homework and somehow wound up on here. My mother found it on the family computer and furiously demanded to know what “all this Am I Normal stuff” was.
That was in 2011 on my first account that I quickly forgot the login for, then I had SkullsNBones until that got deleted in 2013 (likely by my mother) and I’ve had SkullsNRoses ever since.
I watched a SootHouse video about Is It Normal and thought the website would be entertaining. I was right.
I think I first joined 10 years ago when I was bored and looked up random websites. I remember it being listed on a website as an interesting site so that's when I decided to join. I've been on and off ever since.

I know it was probably 18 months ago, give or take.
I was googling something I've been googling for about 15 years - randomly wondering if anybody else stuffs their earlobes into their ears! To my joy I finally hit a thread! So joined in order to post. Two days ago. I'm 60. Feels like finding your real family after a lifetime as an adopted child! ;)
I honestly don't remember. It's been too many years (5 or 6?). I'm sure I searched something that led to this site.

Okay, so basically I was hella pissed about some bullshit with my sister, and or my mother. I wrote what I was feeling in form of a question in the Google search engine, as in, "is it normal...", and up popped this site!
I believe I did this about five, or six years ago.
by typing in "is it normal if..." and seeing this site come up naturally i guess; i assumed that was the way most people found it, by asking questions that are similar to those that have been posted here haha
A youtuber in my contry posted a video with 10 interesting sites and this was one of then, then I decided to join.
