If you truly do not want to be friends with her anymore, then I think there isn't any way to end it without having her know and probably feel bad about it.
Maybe you could talk to her face to face and say something like: You know Pam, this friendship isn't working for me anymore. I don't want you to feel bad, but I am going to move on. (And then stick to your guns!)
