How badly does cheapness turn you off?
Not talking about being frugal or thrifty in general in your own private life, that's great IMO. But I think there's a time and place for that, a limit to who it should be discussed with and also times when money shouldn't be the main concern.
Things like tipping poorly or not at all, discussing money on a date, haggling or using a coupon on a date, talking about how much this or that cost, the cost of a gift, asking how much your things cost and pointing out how others could save money or how they are foolish with money, etc.
