Home invasion

I have always fantasized about breaking into someone's home and sneaking around in the dark, crawling into their bedroom and watching them as they sleep. Without stealing or harming anyone. I really want to do this, should I? Where I live, most people don't have firearms at home so I would be pretty safe.

Normally I enjoy fantasizing about someone breaking in and me shooting them out of self defense. Though the fantasy is without any kind of media backlash "omg that was just a 17 year old kid" then a lengthy court case proving I'm right but not before draining me of thousands so I'm forced to counter sue the family so I can make that money back.

Why do you have to tell someone? Just get rid of the dead meat. No one needs to know.

Because that would just make the situation worse. Better to play off that I shot him self defence but not to kill. Looks way better in the courts if i look like i wasnt trying to kill him.

However if you shoot for nonlethal and confess to it it looks like your life wasn't in serious enough harm so firing that gun into them becomes illegal as well. The whole system is fucked. Best ti go with it was dark someone broke into my house I felt my life was in danger and defended myself. Short sweet and to the point

How is this worse if nobody finds out?

I gotta patch a hole in a wall, blood stains etc. Someone will hear the gunshots, it's just better to let the community in on the action. Less work ultimately, also the guy could have a getaway driver. So many variables to deal with. Better just to have a simple plan and stick to it.

Covering up a lawful self defense act is not lawful. Plus I'm lazy I dont want to dig a damn grave for the guy who broke into my house.

Well it's still a lot of work, you'd have paperwork to fill, questions to answer to the police, there's even a chance you may have to go to court to defend yourself.

Why gunshot and bloodstain? You don't need a gun to kill someone. Use your bare hands. No noise and no blood.

When you break in, bring a knife with you so you can run it over your palms as you watch them sleep.

I agree. OP definitely shouldn't break into someone's home, though I'd say it's pretty common to think that would be exciting. In reality, it wouldn't be exciting though, instead it would just make someone a nervous wreck.

I mean I’ve wanted to break into a house just for the rush but the watching them sleep part is a little creepy

Yeah I mean its exciting, but lots of awful and immoral things are. The idea of rape is incredibly appealing in theory to me. But that shouldn't be your first reaction when someone says "I think it would be fun to rape someone"

There's a story that happened where a bored woman broke into a house and cleaned it up, then left her number for the people to pay her.
The only thing she got paid was a visit by the cops.

Why do you want to watch a stranger "sleep" Is this some type of compulsion? If your goal is to watch a stranger sleep that could probably be arranged without a crime being committed.

Is breaking into a house just a means to an end? Realize that breaking into a house just to watch a stranger sleep may actually become the end.

Personally, I'd rethink this one if I were you.

I hope y'all don't live in the U.S. or Canada. Civilians got enough firepower to take out 5 or 6 of you when you break down the door.

They could do it in an urban area cause God knows its it's impossible to own a gun in those places.

True for New York City and Washington DC. But, most cities don't care about guns that are permanently kept at home. You get into serious legal complications in cities when you take your guns outside your house.

Let everyone who is lawful own a gun. You would be much less likely to rob someone if there was a higher chance to get a counter gun draw on you.

In a side note I dont get why people draw a fake gun on cops then people cry that they were unarmed. Idk how people would think for a 1/4th of a second that would even work.

No, do not do this. Even if you didn't get shot, you could get attacked, give someone a panic/heart attack, and get a criminal record started for breaking and entering.

Instead, have a supportive bf/gf/family member 100% agree to you trying to sneak in to a space of theirs and leave proof you were there, like a coin on their nightstand or something. More fun if they live in separate house, and no property damage of course.
    Good luck with neighborhood watch!

Maybe find someone who will let you pretend to do this. Even if you don’t damage anything you’re still invading that person’s personal space, and it just would not be right.

I mean, if you're looking for excitement just go to an amusement park or if you're so desperate, break into your friend's house (they probably won't careas much as a random person).
I know it might not be as fun, but you could get arrested if you get caught. No one's stopping you though but you have to carry your own responsibility no matter what.

Listen here, Missy. Computers may be twice as fast as they were in 1973, but your average voter is as drunk and stupid as ever. The only thing that's different is me; I've become bitter, and let's face it, crazy over the years. And once I'm swept into office, I'll sell our children's organs to zoos for meat, and I'll go into people's houses at night and wreck up the place. Muahahaha!

Thats called being a creeper. It'd be less creepy to just rape a chic.

OK I think I understand... If we remove "breaking and entering" from the equation, rape is less "creepy" than just staring at a stranger sleeping, but rape is certainly more of a violation of that person and a pretty serious crime. Did I get that right?
