This is a totally irrational fear unless you are a whale trainer, work on a sea boat, or a vocation involving whales directly. You are just going to have to come to terms with this being irrational and learn to move past it.
Maybe start by purchasing a small whale plush; it's small, soft, and only has the appearance of a whale small to scale.
