  • All girls have "daddy issues". At least every one I have ever come across. It never ceases to amaze me how women who behave as sluts almost always have little to no functional relationship with their biological father.

It seems as if the programming is to assume responsibility for the female when in a serious, committed, mutually exclusive relationship (marriage). Look at the ceremony itself, if the father of the bride is in the picture, he walks her down the aisle, hands her off to the groom. Essentially saying "she's your problem now".

I know that sounds sort of harsh, I don't mean it to. Just stating the facts.

You are on the mark regarding recreating their parents within their partners. I'm guilty of the very same thing. Unfortunately since I come from a traditional household, with traditional gender roles, I'm completely unsuccessful in modern dating. Even given my physical appearance.

Progressivism, Liberalism, Equality, Feminism, all tenets of modern society that have sent western civilization on a trajectory I could never have imagined or be able to predict where the chips will fall. Maybe I'm the dinosaur, who knows?

    Strange times we live in.

    • no such thing as daddy issues per se, the reality is that anyone of any gender who suffers abandonment, neglect or abuse as a child and did not have a loving bond with a significant caregiver has issues...these issues take many forms but are mostly noticeable in how they relate to others , which, by the way is how they relate to themselves, since sex is something that we do with others then sex is a part of that equation , but focusing on the sex part is a narrow view of a broader problem

    • I concur well said and thoughtful.

A term I deplore is,"Gender Assignment ". I would not down play someones emotional state, but the physiological fact is being born female is one thing. You can change the sex, but the term devalues what God has given.

These are strange, blurred lines and cross eyed times, for sure.
