Most people are not going to get sarcasm on the internet. Everyone seems to assume it works but it wont. Tone does not transfer and the only way to make a term/phrase sound sarcastic is if it has a negative connotation.
This is something people on the internet seem to miss and probably should addressed. Since people do it entirely too much and than go on a rampage when you did not understand they were being SARCASTIC. People need to be intelligent and realize we are not in their heads.
If its a obvious troll like "Do you masticate" which is an obvious joke no one is going take it serious. If its a seems like a serious question you should answer it seriously and no matter how extreme not assume its a troll.
IF someone says extreme like they were raped it might not be a joke even though you assume nothing like this could ever happen.
IF you want to know a troll here is a nice hint though. If they contradict each other in the same post on different lines. I noticed this a few times.
Such as "I had 9 dogs and 12 of them died so I took them to the vet to have them put down." <=== Obvious flaw which makes no sense. You cant have 9 dogs to start and 12 of them die. Since you only had 9 to start with. If the dogs were already dead why would you have them put down. This shows someone cant keep track of when they are lying. So keep an eye out for that.
If it was something they got from experience they are going to know the number. If they are making this up this is not based on a real situation.
