Help i'm addicted. its lame i know

So my favorite artist Lana Del Ray dropped a surprise album two days ago and am I totally addicted to it. Its wrecking my social life and making me avoid approaching girls at meals because I just wanna sit alone with that shit on shuffle. I seriously can't focus when I study because the music is so good its distracting. It's really quite a pain for a college kid like me but idk what to do! The music is too damn good! I know it's kind of a pathetic problem to have, but please at least try to help lol.

            Okay that's fine to not relate. What other gender thread? As I recall, there was too of them.

            I think I was being sarcastic tho and playing devils advocate saying gender is a spectrum or some stupid shit like that.

          Sometimes the music doesn’t get me, lyrics are sometimes good, but it’s about relationships way too often and when I listen to kinda sad music it’ll be Alternative and some others, cuz they actually sing about other stuff and I like the way the music flows
          Can’t exactly define why, it’s just not some people’s jam I guess

    Imo she only has 3 or 4 good songs. I can somewhat see where you're coming from, when I first started listening to Guns n Roses, Appetite for Destruction was CONSTANTLY playing in my room and I became quite literally addicted to the band but not to the extent where I completely ignored people to go listen to it. Span out a bit

    You probably shouldn’t listen to these people. They don’t feel the power of music like you and i do and that’s perfectly fine. I feel the same way about the beatles. I’m not a huge fan of Lana, but some of her music I love. If you can’t get enough of her, then just fully resign your soul to the music. Music is better than socialising or studying. Only music can fill you with emotions that no words can describe.

      Have you listened to Lana Del Ray? For the most part I don't like modern pop much anyways, but Lana Del Ray does not sound very modern and that's what a lot of critics say as well. Worth a listen.

        Maybe also stop looking some thing, like looking at pictures of her and watching videos, then u can continue with leaving just a few songs or minutes out

      I don't wanna talk to people because I'd rather slap in my headphones. My roommate is getting annoyed and also my pals on my floor. If there's a hot girl sitting alone in the cafeteria I usually approach, but now I'm finding myself finding a lame excuse to sit alone so I can throw in headphones and listen away.

    The only reason you are into her is cause she is hot. It is easy to get caught up on that. Young people think the musician is hot so they think their music is good somehow. Not just guys do that but young women also.

    It's funny that the biggest dudes always seem to have some real sensitive side when it comes to music. It is like a friend of mine and I were joking about once. He said something about a burly biker having a good cry to Boy George music.

    To be fair - I listened to Lana Del ray, a couple snippets of songs and not my style.

      That second point is hilarious! Its so true for me to lol. I am really sensitive and OCD about music like you would not believe. I have EIGHTY playlists on spotify with songs ranked or in an order that flows well. I have a specific playlist for driving, benching, back workout days, sleeping, scrolling through porn hub, after masterbating, studying different subjects and even eating(which takes motivation to fit as much in as I do lol) case in point, I'm obsessed with music and weird ASF.

        BTW, Boy George was the lead singer of a band called Culture Club. Of course in some cases like this one, the singer is better known than the bands they were in.

        But yeah, some musician's popularity is dependent on their good looks.

          Yeah but it's not like I fap to her pics online or follow her social media or anything. I just listen to her music I don't do much else. I don't even watch her music videos because music videos make me cringe. Taylor swift is pretty spicy so maybe I like her practically cause she's hot. But Halsey who is my absolute favorite artist is not very attractive at all with short hair and shit.
