  • Flying along like birdys do, I saw a sad moth in my birds eye view. I swooped on down to perch beside him and ask what was wrong, for i he could confide in. He looked up at me, tears rolling down his cheek, he sniveled a bit then started to speak. He was a lovely shade of brown, with shiny black eyes and heart breaking frown. He was forced away from his alabaster love, the sweet little butterfly was all he thought of. But the butterflies friends were stupids and shallows and nearly forced the moth to the gallows. He flew off, afraid for his life and for his sweet love that he wished was his wife. He lifted his head and his eyes opened wide. He saw his dear love approaching with pride. She dealt with her "friends" in a manner so proper, for she was in love and they couldn't stop her. She cares not about status or hue, so I say unto thee, fuck you twice, times two.

    • With the "fuck you" bit changed, I could see this in a children's book with illustrations. Esp if you have more limmericks, and I'm sure you could write more about different subjects. I would buy it, it's so cute. Plus am involved in teaching children.

      • Thank you. I believe some of my best work is floating around on this site. I only recall two of the posts they are on and sometimes I go back and reread them. I enjoy rhymes quite a bit. I guess you could say that word play is my forte ;p
