Don't listen to any of these comments, They all can lead you into trouble, with him or with yourself, The only one that stuck out was the first one "Be his best friend" I'm sorry but thats the only thing you can do. I know it hurts, I know that it is painful to know that because I went thru the exact thing! I fell for my best friend before, while he had a girlfriend and it didn't help that he was always hugging me and telling me how beautiful i was! i thought he was leading me on! But one thing that I noticed that work for me is do things that take your mind off of him (if it is possible) Talk to other guys, hang with some of your other friends, look at other guys and try your hardest not to say "well _____ is still better, hes the only one i will love, he is the only guy for me" because obviously that isn't working for you. And no, I'm not saying completely forget about him, ignore him, because you can't have him you can't be there for him. No! don't do that! because then you would hurt him...and do you want that? If you really love someone sometimes the best thing to do is let them go, and be there for them whenever they need it. At least he is happy, wouldn't you want that? Thats a true friend, all feelings aside. And one more thing, this might sound crazy but ask him to hook you up with a guy he thinks would be good for you!, and if he finds one don't reject the poor guy off the bat, give other guys a chance! and don't compare them with him because then you are the one in the wrong. So girl, this is completely normal and no matter how much it hurts, know that you will get thru it. you WILL.
