I've been having sex for the past 3 years and haven't gotten an exam yet. Should I do that? Is it normal to wait this long?

    You should get one done, definately. It can be dangerous to wait.

    I am also sexually active For a couple of years but my doctor said I should start getting them until I'm 21...

    you may want to get it done. it's sort of a rule of thumb after you become sexually active.

    I don't know much about the relationship between sexual promiscuity and cervical cancer, but I did know a woman whose life probably would have been saved if she had an annual exam. She chose to never have one. She also chose her own pallbearers.

    Get checked.

    its probably normal to wait that long but its not recommended. it is suggested to get one every 2 years. just go to the doctor and get it done then you wont have to worry for another 2 years. its better to know that you dont have anything than find out that its too late to do something about it.
