Have you used yahoo! answers? if so, what do you think of it?

Small bit of trivia... I was part of the team that built the original Y!A. IIN was around first though! :)

On Yahoo, I've seen lots of people post normal questions and receive some very rude / unhelpful answers in return. There are also quite a few trolls. A lot of people will post a random answer just to earn "points", and when the time comes to vote for a "Best Answer" it seems that a lot of people will purposely select an incorrect, or impolite answer just for laughs. I have to admit that I've seen posts on here that remind me a lot of Yahoo, though.

There's way too many idiots on there. You might get 10 answers but only one is even halfway relevant. People just want to get their points up, so they go around answering questions like mad-not to help people but for the 2 points they get for typing something like "idk man sounds bad XD"

I used to hang out there fairly often. But they keep changing the layout, making it worse and worse (the further they get from TheManagement's design, obviously) and after the last big redesign really I can't stand using it.

They're really hard on trolls.

I like Y!A, but a lot of their mods are just plain stupid, sorry to say. I posted "*ahem* I'm 17...No I'm not" and they deactivated my entire account worth of 6 years just because they said I was "posing as a minor" even though I was 16 and the sign up age was 13. I even said "No I'm not". I wonder if they hire illiterates to be the moderators.

I use it sometimes because I like to answer questions about culture, religion and music.

I started using it 6 years ago and kinda was addicted to it for some time. Now there are too many trolls, Kinda like in here but lots more. Lol

I wish IIN had more people to make it more "social", like in Yahoo! Answers where people respond to your comments.

I once had an account and I trolled on the Polls & Surveys section (it's okay to troll there, since lots of people do that). But if a relevant question popped up on any other section, I'd answer with total honesty and coherence.

Its somewhat like is it normal.com.

i've tried to be active on that, but its too big to ever get noticed. i stick to things like this instead :D
