I feel like this site is mostly conservatives, so likely none of them cried when Trump was elected, or will admit to crying when a black man was elected president. I teared up a bit when I was going to bed and it looked like Trump would actually win. As a queer mentally ill woman, I am terrified of what Trump is thinking of doing to what SHOULD BE our basic human rights. And I also believe that people of color should be treated like human beings, unlike some people, so I'm very concerned for them, including immigrants (let's be honest, mostly immigrants of color are the ones being discriminated against right now). He just proposed a law that would take rights away from transgender people, which angers me and scares me because I have friends that are trans and to make their lives even MORE difficult and unfair is bullshit. And health care scares me too, especially because my family is middle class and my grandmother has dementia and she's only getting worse. And medications for the entire family because three out of four of us have mental health problems and two have physical health problems (that they need to take medication for). Anyway that's my long liberal ass opinions on America. We've always been a racist and hateful country (Native Americans, Chinese, Japanese, African Americans, women, gays, transgender people, disabled people, mentally disabled people, immigrants, the list can go on actually), so I'm not sure why I was so shocked that Trump won. I just hope we will change, because I'm so so tired of hating this country. I live here and I want to love where I'm from. But everyone is making it so hard.
Have you ever wept after a Presidential election result?
