A lot. I'm not sure I've seen a thousand but I'll guarantee I've seen more than five hundred. It's a particular interest of mine. I genuinely have encyclopaediae on the subject. If anyone hasn't seen a silent film and fancies giving it a try, I would highly recommend this (from 1921):

As long as he doesn't say Chaplin was better than Keaton. Chaplin was great, but Keaton was sublime.
He's also got to love Laurel and Hardy. Them's the rules.
